2. Information the extension stores
FocusTime operates with a strict local-only data policy. Your browsing data should remain private and under your control, so it never leaves your browser.

- How long each website was in the foreground, with daily and weekly totals
- The time limits you set for specific websites
- Usage statistics, puzzle results and productivity trends
- Your todo items, categories and completion history
- Extension preferences and settings
All of this is stored exclusively in your browser's extension storage. It is not transmitted to our servers or to any third party, because the extension has no servers to send it to.
Not collected
- Page contents, form fields, passwords or anything you type
- Your identity — there is no account, sign-in or email
- Analytics or usage telemetry from inside the extension
3. Storage, security and deletion
Data is stored locally using the browser's secure extension storage. You can clear it at any time from the extension's settings, or by removing the extension, which deletes all of its data. If your browser syncs extension data between your own devices, that happens under your browser account's own privacy terms, not ours.
5. Browser permissions
FocusTime asks for these permissions, and uses them only as described:
- Website access — to know which site is open so time is credited to it, and to pause a site once its limit is used up
- Storage — to save your stats, limits and todos locally
- Tabs and navigation — to notice when you switch tabs or pages
- Alarms — to tick the timer and reset allowances at midnight
- Notifications — to send gentle time-limit reminders, if you turn them on
6. This website
The website is a static page. If analytics are enabled, they are limited to aggregate page views and are never linked to data from the extension. The contact form opens your own email app; we only receive what you choose to send.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
